This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 31, 2008:
I read somewhere that no one else can accurately interpret your dreams and that it is up to us to decide what they mean, since we created them.
It said to ask yourself...and whatever comes to mind immediately is what it means. Do not try hard to get an answer.
Of course I pay attention to my dreams and I always record them if I think they are significant. Usually if I remember them, they are bizarre and complex. Recently, I had this dream about a colleague of mine that I happen to adore...also, she plays the flute at a very high level.
I was dreaming that we were running tree to tree trying not to get hit by lightening!
Funny, since trees can make that chance even higher that you will get hit.
I first thought that it represented our lives as flutists...always working so hard to make it. Loss after loss..while we still keep moving. Now I'm thinking about it and I wonder if it may have meant that we are backwards. What we think is saving us, could actually kill us.

That is such a beautiful dream…so artisticI thank you for your idea about being your own counselor to your dreams. Makes complete sense. I play violin and have dreams with music after I intently practice. Thanks for sharing this.
